Events

 

Throughout the years I have been involved in many different kinds of events, and my preference has always been to try something new with each new opportunity that arose, or at least maintain a semblance of artistic evolution in the things I chose to be involved with. Being a public figure has always meant that I have had plenty of offers to reply to, yet outside events organized by friends, I have always been cautious to keep art, or the artistic value of the event as a main concern when considering which offers to accept. To me, being an artist means that one must be committed to art, and being a creative artist means one has to be committed to creativity, which is tantamount to originality. Why is that? Because creation is the birth of something new, and everything that is new is unique, thus it is original. Maybe I take the concept of Art a tad too deeply, but it is my way to be deep because I believe in depth and immersion as signs of dedication when it come to the arts.

 

Oh yeah, which events?

 

Some the aforementioned events were charities or solidarity events, and some were low-key improvisation sessions for a selected audience or for acquaintances, and although most were in the shape of concerts or festivals catering to thousands of viewers, others were underground mixed art exhibitions or gallery showings. Whenever possible I try to mix the styles of art I am fluent in within one event, to keep the angle fresh and the perspective growing, usually throwing styles of art I am not fluent in into the mix because in experimentation there is the ignorant bliss of discovering and the result, when successful, is always so honest and inspiring. I suppose I have a punk-zen perspective; going into the piece within emptiness and attacking it with full energy and without fear or mercy; letting the chips fall where the may and betting big on the outcome.

For the moment, and as we gather the ever-growing footage we find to add to this events category, the events are divided into 3 sub-categories:

Art Exhibits,

Live-Performances

and

Solidarity events.

We keep receiving footage of past events maybe recorded by some avid fan and posted on youtube, or sent to us directly, and we will post it here whenever we get it.
